I'm teaching a mini album class at....

A new class is on the schedule at Scrapbooks & Etc. In this class attendees will create three 4 x 4 inch mini albums. This class will be different in that each individual will choose the theme of their albums from a selection of papers, ribbons and embellishments. This gives you the freedom to tailor the theme to your photo needs, and to design a style that suites your taste. If you have a particular theme in mind, please notify Traci Byrd at Scrapbooks & Etc. 704-455-9425 prior to the scheduled class. I will do my best to provide supplies to accommodate your needs. In this class, you will learn how to use the Zutter Bind-it-All and DreamKuts tools to save time and money by creating your own albums in the future. I invite you to visit Scrapbooks & Etc., 206 Morris Drive, Harrisburg, NC 28075 to see more samples on display and to register for class.

Please note this is only a sample,
all completed projects will be unique and different.
You have two dates to choose from, Saturday, February 14th at 11 a.m. and
Monday, February 16th at 6 p.m. The cost is $23.00 per class. Class size is limited to 12 students per class. Please register early so I can plan the class supplies accordingly.
Please bring the following supplies to class: Paper trimmer, Scissors, Glue Stick,
Glue Dots or Helmar's Liquid Scrap Dots.

It's a snow day, schools are closed...

Since I work at a school, the talk of a snow fall always brings anticipation and excitement. It's an added bonus to have an unexpected day off from school. I love being at home, with my family and a cup of hot apple cider. I plan on getting a load of laundry done, organize and inventory my craft books and do some scrapbooking. Here's the view from my craft studio window.

Wishing you an unexpected surprise in your day as well!!!

Oh happy day....

I have great news to share….I have been selected by Scrap My Memories to join their design team. I applied for this team because I love their product line and monthly kits. Scrap My Memories carries beautiful scrapbooking products that are not easily found in my area. Please check out their website at http://scrapmymemories.ca/ to meet the other design team members.

Unforgetable Love is one of my design team entries, using old photos of my parents. It helps to know a little history, my parents house burned down when I was a senior in high school so very few photos and memorabilia survived. The pictures on this layout were just a few that survived. I never cut up an original (one that I do not own a negative or digital image), vintage or heritage photo. I scan it first, store the original and print up the images as needed for projects.

Whew...busy creating for CHA

Hi, I am still here. I've been a busy girl, designing projects for the Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) coming up this month in California. Watch out for the release of new scrapbook products to hit the stores soon. In the mean time, lets continue to scrapbook! Personalize your home or work desk space with a photo paper weight. Here I used Helmar Adhesives and Bo-bunny Papers and Flowers. Please check the links on the left side of your screen for sneak peeks and inspiration to my favorite websites!

Happy New Year!

I am so excited about the start of a new year. It’s time for me to make plans, organize my craft room and set goals for 2009. Well, I am eager to share that I’ve met one of my personal goals already! Here’s a hint, it’s not a clean craft room. I have been chosen by My Acrylic Albums to be a guest designer for the month of January. My Acrylic Albums has a huge selection of cool acrylic album shapes and designs. My Rockin’ Love Album has to be my absolute favorite! I used one page from this album to create the childhood memories hanger. The remaining pages I covered with bright pattern papers from Me & My Big Ideas to make this special album.

Please follow the link to see my other designs created using My Acrylic Albums.

When working with acrylic albums it’s important to use an adhesive that dries clear. All of my projects were created using Helmar Adhesives. Helmar Adhesives is coming to the America. In celebration of their expansion, they are having a giveaway. Please follow this link to Helmar Adhesives Blog for more details.

Thank you for visiting me, I wish you and your families the best in 2009.
